Second print run for Willie’s popular ‘Yarns’ book due to popular demand

A second print run of the popular ‘Yarns My Father Told Me In Old Gas Lane’ has been commissioned due to popular demand.

Penned by Armagh man Willie Nugent last year, the book – with all proceeds going to charity – sold out in all local shops.

Said Willie: “I have been asked if l would be printing anymore; well, the answer is yes! And they will be in the shops this coming week.”

Willie has included an extra yarn his father told him titled ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary’ and he’s also included the words of his song, ‘The Gas-lamplighter of old Armagh’.

The good news is it’s still the same price £5.

All costs for the book have been paid for by family and friends, which means every penny raised will go to Marie Curie.

The books can be bought in the following shops; Curran’s Spar shop; Raffles; Ulster Gazette shop; Macari’s Newsagents’ Trimprint; Dessie’s; Frances Ladies Hairdressers; Pet World; and Armagh Blooms.
