‘R’ drivers involved in multiple collisions in Armagh as police issue drink drive warning

These photos were taken from two separate road traffic collisions involving restricted drivers in Armagh overnight.

Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported on this occasion, however, it could have been so much different.

Armagh B Section said they had a “busy night responding to multiple road traffic collisions”.

Posting images of two separate RTCs, both of which involved young ‘R’ drivers, one of whom gave a preliminary breath test reading of 63!

“The message is simple. Never ever drink and drive,” said a police spokesperson.

“The worst job we as police officers have to do is having to inform families their loved ones have been seriously injured or killed on our roads. It is not worth taking the chance.

“Thankfully, all persons involved did not sustain any serious injuries. This is a stark warning for all those who think they can drink and drive that it is not just your own life you’re putting on the line but the lives of all other road users.”
