Shoppers are being invited to support a great cause by visiting a one-off charity pop-up shop selling quality, pre-loved clothing at The Village community hub, 68 Upper English Street, Armagh, on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1.
The pop-up shop will be open from 10am to 8pm on both days, offering a fantastic selection of affordable pre-loved fashion – and very purchase will help raise vital funds for Pretty ’n’ Pink (NIC102659), Northern Ireland’s largest breast cancer charity.
The charity provides practical and emotional support to people and families affected by breast cancer across Northern Ireland. Last month, for example, it opened a “gift of comfort” room at Craigavon Area Hospital, where breast cancer patients can access a safe and welcoming environment for bra fitting support. The room is part of their unique “gift of comfort” bra fitting initiative, currently being piloted at Craigavon hospital for women following a mastectomy, lumpectomy or reconstructive surgery.
Taking place over the same weekend as the 7 Hills Blues Fest, the pop-up shop offers residents and visitors to Armagh the opportunity to shop sustainably, pick up some great bargains and support a worthy cause.
Leanne Rooney, Chief Executive of Pretty ’n’ Pink, said: “As anyone we have worked with in Armagh already knows, community support is at the heart of everything we do at Pretty ’n’ Pink – we are part of the fabric of life in Northern Ireland and that’s why we have chosen to host our first ever pop-up shop locally, in Armagh.”
Leanne also highlighted that, thanks to volunteer support and the shop premises kindly being provided free of charge, every single purchase will help fund the charity’s valuable services.
“If you have a few minutes to spare, please drop in for a browse – you just might pick up a bargain or find out more about the great work being done to support people and families affected by breast cancer across Northern Ireland,” she added.
