Popular Jeni to be laid to rest in Armagh two weeks after tragic death in Newcastle

Friends are invited to pay their respects, whilst maintaining social distancing, as the cortege leaves the family home on Saturday

The funeral will take place at the weekend of Jeni Larmour, two weeks after the teenager died at student accommodation in Newcastle.

The 18-year-old, a former Deputy Head Girl of the Royal School Armagh, was discovered unconscious at halls of residence and, despite the efforts of paramedics, passed away.

She had only started Newcastle University, studying Architecture and Urban Planning, having moved to Tyneside in August.

The passing of Jeni, described as a “beautiful young girl”, caused great shock and sadness among her many friends and close family.

The student, who came from Newtownhamilton, was a dearly-loved daughter of David and Sandra and a sister to Daniel.

Her funeral service will take place on Saturday, two weeks to the day since she tragically passed away.

Due to the current restrictions, the house and funeral are private.

But friends are invited to pay their respects, whilst maintaining social distancing, as the cortege leaves the family home on Saturday at 1.30pm, via the Armagh Road, Newtownhamilton, to Ballynahone Cemetery, Armagh, for a private committal.

Donations in lieu of flowers are being accepted for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, c/o Jackson Stoops & Sons, Funeral Directors, 44 Moy Road, Armagh BT61 8DL.

To the entire family circle, and her many friends, deepest sympathy is extended at this time.
