Police probe after arson attack on old Forresters club in Armagh

Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack on the old Forresters club in Armagh city centre.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Market Street at around 9.10pm on Friday, December 12.

Officers attended to assist with crowd control, with a number of youths moved on from the scene, while colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire.

The building was derelict, with no one inside at the time and no injuries reported.

The fire is being treated as deliberate ignition and enquiries are ongoing.
