Police investigate reports men may have been trying to harm birds of prey at Armagh quarry

Police are investigating following a report of a suspected attempt to harm birds of prey in a quarry in Armagh.

It happened on Saturday, November 28, and police have now appealed for information.

Constable Bingham said: “Police believe pigeons may have been tethered in order to attract larger birds of prey. Investigations are currently ongoing to establish whether the birds had been laced with poison.

“Police are keen to speak to three males who were seen in the area driving a grey southern registered van.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 952 of 28/11/20.
