New enforcement measures to come into effect at Armagh city centre car park

Vehicles not parked appropriately within designated bays will be subject to parking enforcement

New parking enforcement measures are to be introduced to cover a council-owned parking area in Armagh city centre.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council have announced that as of November 24, enforcement will be in place at Friary Road Car Park West… which sits adjacent to The Royal British Legion and runs down towards Daly’s Motor Spares.

The car park will remain free to use but all vehicles must be parked appropriately within designated parking bays. Those which are not will be subject to parking enforcement.

The action will also extend to vehicles parked without displaying a valid disabled badge.

Enforcement will be in the form of a Penalty Charge Notice issued by a Traffic Attendant and placed on the windscreen of the vehicle.

A Penalty Charge Notice is issued for £90 and if paid within 14 days reduces to £45.
