Police have confirmed that a man who had entered a property on Culdee Street while the owners were home had done so “due to his level of intoxication”.
On March 15 several concerned members of the pubic had contacted police to say a man had been seen “trying doors” in the Culdee Street area of Armagh.
He had then entered a property through an unlocked door where it is understood he “went upstairs while the owners were in the house”.
It is also understood that neighbours then peacefully held the man until police were able to attend the scene.
Police have now confirmed that nothing was taken or damaged at the property.
They established that he had entered the wrong house due to his level of intoxication and removed him from the area.
