Man pulled from Armagh flat fire as neighbours raise alarm

A man has been pulled from a flat fire in Armagh this afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Culdee Street area of the city around 4.15pm.

The fire, which happened on the ground floor, began a short time before neighbours raised the alarm.

It is understood the man was pulled from the flat but remained unconscious before being placed on a stretcher.

He was rushed off in an ambulance while the fire service continued to tackle the blaze and make the scene safe. The area remains cordoned off with police also in attendance.

The man’s condition remains unknown at this stage.
