A man has been fined for indecent behaviour on the Mall.
A spot fine was issued by police conducting an anti-social behaviour patrol.
The heightened presence is in response to recent concerns over public drinking on the Mall.
It also comes after reports by Armagh I of incidents of indecent behaviour.
On Wednesday of last week, a man openly urinated in front of a mother and her three young daughters.
And yesterday, a week later, another young mum contacted Armagh I to say a man had urinated in front of herself and her baby.
A meeting has also been held with councillors, Mall Trustees and others in a bid to tackle the problems.
This included an increased police presence and signage.
Today, the PSNI in Armagh confirmed: “Police in Armagh conducted ASB patrols in the area of The Mall yesterday following concerns from Armagh residents.
“A number of alcoholic drinks were seized and one male fined for indecent behaviour.”
