A man accused of raping and sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 has appeared at court.
An application was made by the prosecution for an adjournment as there was medical evidence still outstanding.
The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared charged with two counts of rape of a child under 13, sexual assault of a child under 13 and two counts of sexual assault at Armagh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Prosecution stated that further time was required for the preparation of a full file as medical evidence was still outstanding.
Defence barrister Conor Coulter asked that the case be listed in a week’s time for an application to vary the defendant’s bail address.
He was released on bail to attend the Magistrates’ Court on August 13.
