A man allegedly involved in an unsavoury incident in Armagh city centre last month has appeared in court.
Jonathan Brady, of Mourneview in Mowhan, appeared before Armagh Magistrates’ Court – sitting in Newry – on Tuesday charged with disorderly behaviour and two counts of assault on police.
The charges arise from an incident in the Thomas Street area of the city on June 17.
The 31-year-old was arrested at the scene that same afternoon.
A police officer said they were able to connect Brady to the charges while the prosecutor said the full file was in but asked for the case be adjourned for a decision to be made.
District Judge Anne Marshall granted the adjournment until August 5 when a decision to prosecute or not is expected to be made.
Brady was released on continuing bail in the meantime.
