A man accused of attempting to rob a woman of her mobile phone and purse outside a Portadown shop has appeared in court.
Boris Ozga, with an address of Alexander Avenue in Armagh, appeared at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Saturday charged with a number of offences.
The 37-year-old was arrested following an incident outside Poundland at Magowan West Shopping Centre on Thursday.
Ozga is accused of attempting to rob the female of her purse and phone. He has also been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent against the same woman stemming from Thursday’s incident.
He is also accused of stealing a Tommy Hilfiger wallet, containing a quantity of cash, belonging to a man before using a bank card from inside the wallet on three separate occasions.
He was also charged with possession of a Class C drug – Pregabalin.
Ogza was released on bail to appear back before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on November 1.
