Police investigating a report of a domestic incident in the Rosemount Avenue area of Armagh on Monday evening, February 26 have charged a man to court.
The 31-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences including, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, six counts of assault on police, four counts of criminal damage, non-fatal strangulation or asphyxiation, and resisting police.
He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning, February 28.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old woman also arrested in connection with the investigation has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
