A man is due to appear in court today (Wednesday) following two robberies in Armagh city on Monday morning.
The 25-year-old will appear in Newry Magistrates’ Court charged with two counts of robbery, criminal damage and possession of a class C drug.
As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
The 25-year-old was one of four people initially arrested.
Three of those – two women, aged 27 and 38, and a 29-year-old man – were released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
It was reported to police at around 11.30am on Monday, a man entered commercial premises on the Killylea Road and threatened staff inside and demanded money.
Police received a further report at around 11.50pm that a man had entered commercial premises on Lower Irish Street and demanded money before making off with a sum of cash in a blue vehicle.
A short time later police stopped a Blue Seat Leon in the Armagh area and arrested four people.
