There are plans for a major housing development just off the Newry Road in Armagh.

An application for a total of 26 homes has been submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council for consideration.

The houses, if approved, would be built “on lands to the rear and 60m south-west of 1 to 11 Cavanacaw Grange”.

The development, according to Construction Information Services, is estimated to cost in the region of £2.3 million.

The applicant is Armagh-based Glenview Developments NI Ltd and the location is described in the submission as a “partially constructed building site”.

The 26 new houses would be a mix of both detached and semi-detached properties and the application also includes associated siteworks.

The plans are due to be publicly advertised this week.
