Lord Mayor drops in to wish much-loved Adeline a very happy 101st birthday!

Flowers from council to help Hockley resident celebrate

What a fantastic lady with 101 reasons to celebrate.

One of the borough’s oldest and highly-respected residents has reached that grand old age today.

And what better way to celebrate than with some very special visitors.

Adeline McCauley is a resident of Hockley Lodge Nursing Home.

And this evening Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, Alderman Gareth Wilson, dropped in to help her celebrate.

He brought flowers on behalf of the council to wish her many happy returns.

Surrounded by her family and friends, members of Mountnorris Presbyterian Church also visited to sing Christmas Carols.

Lord Mayor Wilson spoke of the great honour at visiting and described her as a “well loved and respected lady”!

Couldn’ have said it better – happy birthday Adeline!
