A charity run to round off a fantastic week of events for the West Armagh Festival has amassed close to £4,000 and two great charities will share in the proceeds – Armagh Breast Cancer Support Group and Lisanally Special School.
Little Jack Rolston – himself a pupil at Lisanally School – proved to be a real fundraising champion.
Over the past number of weeks the youngster raised an incredible £600.
Jack, along with his family took part in the run around the Palace on Friday night.
One of the organisers, John Fields, said: “Jack sums up what the festival run was all about, a hero in our eyes and a true example to us all. A very big well done and thank-you Jack. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jack gets a special little prize for his outstanding effort.”
We’re sure you’ll agree, a tremendous effort indeed. Well done Jack and all involved.
