Lip Sync battle in aid of Team Emily to take place at Armagh City Hotel

Team Emily

A huge night of entertainment in aid of Team Emily will take place at the Armagh City Hotel on Saturday, April 6.

Twenty-two local people – 12 acts – will be taking part in a Lip Sync battle, in what promises to be a night of craic for a fantastic cause.

This is the last planned big event to help Team Emily reach their target of £100,000 and above.

The money being raised will go towards ongoing efforts to secure a life-changing operation for little Emily Toal, who was born in May 2018 with TAR Syndrome.

This means Emily is missing her radius bone in both forearms. Therefore, she has clubbed hands, a curved ulna bone in her forearms and a low platelet count.

Team Emily was set up to raise money for an operation which will improve mobility, strength and growth and give her as close to normal hand and wrist function as possible.

Speaking ahead of the Lip Sync battle, parents Ciara and Martin Toal said they are so grateful for everyone’s support.

“When we started this journey we were worried we would never be able to raise the money because it is a lot but we have been blown away by people’s generosity and support,” they said.

Adding: “We will never forget what the local community has done for Emily and our family. We are truly grateful.”

You can get tickets from the Armagh City Hotel, the barber SRSB of Lower English Street Armagh, Madison Beauty McCrums Court, or contact Team Emily or the acts directly.
