The 33rd year of the iconic Armagh International Road Races on Thursday brought runners and spectators from across the globe to the ecclesiastical city.
The night’s running began at 6:30pm with the early year runners 400m dash which saw five race groups battle to the finish line before the older underage boys and girls took on an impressive 1400m sprint.
The prestigious event, which brings elite runners from across the world to Armagh city, brought thousands out lining the streets to cheer on competitors for the Women’s 3K, Men’s 3k and Men’s 5K.
The final race of the night saw incredible results in the Men’s 5k finisher with 152 sub 15 minute finishers and a new world record set with 215 sub 16 minute runners over the line!
