St. Michael’s Primary School in Clady held its inaugural Christmas Open Night and Community Fair on Thursday December 12, marking a festive milestone under the leadership of new Principal, Mr. Johnny Guy.
The event was a huge success, attracting past and current pupils, parents, extended family, and prospective students.
Festive activities included seasonal treats and crafting as well as a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus, who posed for photos with families, while the presence of donkeys outside the school added to the atmosphere.
The children sang traditional carols and showcased their creativity with handmade Christmas crafts and decorations displayed throughout the school.
“We wanted this event to be a special way to showcase everything that makes our school unique”, said Principal Johnny Guy.
“At St. Michael’s Clady, we believe in a warm, welcoming environment where kindness, community, and support for one another are at the heart of everything we do.
This evening was a perfect opportunity to celebrate that spirit, share our school’s pride with the community, and kick off the Christmas season together.”
The event was well received by the local community with families reconnecting and new faces exploring the school for the first time.
The evening’s success was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the children, staff, and volunteers who came together to create an evening that captured the essence of the season and the strong sense of community that defines the school.
“We are a school that looks out for each other and builds lasting, meaningful relationships,” Principal Mr. Johnny Guy added.
“It was wonderful to see so many people come together, young and old, to celebrate what makes St. Michael’s P.S. Clady such a special place.”
