In Pictures: Crowds descend on Market Place Theatre for venue’s special 25 year celebration

On Saturday night (March 1) the Market Place Theatre, Armagh came to life for a special performance to celebrate their 25 year anniversary.

The evening – compered by Malachi Cush – saw a a host of local and national performers grace the main stage for a jam-packed evening of entertainment.

Lord Mayor Sarah Duffy and CEO Roger Wilson OBE spoke on behalf of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough council to a packed-out audience issuing their thanks to the venue’s incredible team and cohort of talented performers who were ready and waiting to light up the stage.

The evening saw Market Place favourites and rock royalty, The Pat McManus Band perform alongside performances from The Soda Popz and their fabulous Rock ’n’ Roll tribute; music from Armagh’s own Brian Finnegan and the renowned Armagh Pipers Club; pianist Ruth McGinley; Armagh Theatre Group; Eoin Mallon and Claudia Clendinning and many more special performances from local and national artists including a specially choregraphed Irish Dance and Highland Dance showpiece.

It was a night to remember and one that was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
