It’s a feast for all the senses down at the Shambles Variety Market in Armagh and Lurgan Market – as they welcome on board new traders with an exciting range of new products.

With the Shambles Variety Market nestled between Armagh City’s two cathedrals at the listed Johnston Building and Lurgan Market situated at the Town Plaza, both hubs have an established footing in the local community, selling everything from local fruit and vegetables, flowers, fresh fish to the finest baked goods and clothing.

Now showcasing an expanding range of goods, local punters at the Shambles can savour some tasty homemade traybakes and breads from new stallholders: The Little Kitchen, by Fiona and Sweet’n Your Day – with Sweet’n Your Day also selling at Lurgan Market – or they can also enjoy some a flavoursome and uniquely blended brew from Coffee 51.

And that’s not all, new traders at the Shambles also include Vintage and Victorian, selling beautiful-one-of-a kind vintage jewellery and coins as well as Laser Creations, selling bespoke, handmade gifts – both promising to be the perfect place to get that extra special festive present.

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Kevin Savage said: “The Shambles Variety Market and Lurgan Market are at the very heart of the community. These important social hubs have been offering a safe and friendly place to pick up the finest local produce and goods for years.

“With an abundance of lively sounds and delicious scents, they bring a sense of vibrancy to the borough and also represent an important contributor to our local economy.

“I am delighted to see the markets grow and enhance their offering with the addition of the new traders and I would encourage everyone to wrap up warm, pop down to their local market and experience something new while supporting their local businesses.”
