What an incredible day!
On Friday (August 14), Armagh I hosted our first ever Penalty Shootout event – and what a day it turned out to be!
With Armagh being home of the penalty kick and an exciting summer of World Cup celebrations, we decided what better community event to bring to Armagh for some friendly competition.
Over 200 people descended on the Mall and got involved on the day (and we secretly think the adults had more fun than the kids – even if they weren’t near as good!).
The atmosphere was fantastic, with plenty of excitement and of course, some amazing penalty-taking skills on display!
A massive thank you to everyone who attended, participated and supported the event
Thank you to McKvvr Sports, The Jungle NI, Armagh Observatory and Planetarium, Armagh MarketPlace Theatre, Mulberry Bistro and Cup and Cone Armagh who kindly donated prizes.
To Linwoods and Emersons who kindly provided us with supplies to keep participants fuelled.
Finally, a massive thank you to Armagh FC for kindly lending us a net and to Ross from Gribben Group for his transportation.
See you next time!
