Heavily pregnant woman rushed to hospital following Armagh RTC

A heavily pregnant woman was rushed to hospital following a serious road accident in Armagh last night (Tuesday).

Emergency services, including the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene of the two vehicle collision on the Keady Road around 9.30pm last night.

It is understood the two cars collided at the junction of the Newtownhamilton Road.

Ambulance crews were in attendance and took the injured woman – understood to be local to the area – to hospital.

Her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident and anyone with information is asked to call 101.

The road had been closed for a number of hours last night with diversions in place.

Police in Armagh attended the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision at the junction of Newtownhamilton and Keady Road at around 9.30pm last night, 20 March.

The NIAS attended the scene and one person was taken to hospital for their injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
