Monica Moore was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital for treatment to injuries after the incident last Saturday.

But the 53-year-old sadly passed away on Tuesday, with her sisters by her bedside.

Forensics had attended a house in the Cathedral Road area of the city on Monday and were present throughout the day.

A PSNI spokesperson had confirmed on Monday that they were “currently investigating following an incident at a house” and that a “woman has been taken to hospital for her injuries”.

Police subsequently confirmed the tragic news.

Sergeant Moffett told Armagh I : “Police can confirm that a woman in her 50s has died on Tuesday 9th October, following an incident at a home in the Duke’s Grove area of Armagh.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”

A daughter of the late Paddy and Alice Quinn, the deceased will be sadly missed by her loving sisters, Stella Mullin, Margaret Conlon, Cathy Hughes, Sharon Donnelly and Edel Mc Anallen.

She is reposing at her sister, Sharon’s home,  at 50 Milltown Road, Benburb, from today, (Thursday).

Her funeral will take place this Saturday, leaving the home at 9am and making its way to St Patrick’s Cathedral in Armagh, for Requiem Mass at 10am.

She will be laid to rest afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery in Keady.

We would like to extend our sincere condolences to all of Monica’s family and friends at this sad time. RIP.
