candle death notice

The funeral will take place on Wednesday of a popular Armagh man who passed away yesterday.

Eamon (Percy) Pattison died peacefully at home on Monday.

The 49-year-old lived at Abbey Park and his death has sent shockwaves across the city and further afield.

Tributes have been paid to the father-of-two, who was well-known and highly respected.

Among those expressing shock and offering her sympathies was SDLP Councillor Mealla Campbell.

She said her thoughts and prayers were with Mr Pattison’s wife, Sharon, and their young sons Ben and Ryan.

Friends of the Pattison and Prunty families have been reacting to the tragic news on social media.

One described it as “such sad news – another young life gone to soon”, while another said the loss was “absolutely heartbreaking”.

He is being remembered as a “true gent”, with another commenting: “Percy was a character, always a joke or a wise craic when you met him.”

Mr Pattison’s funeral will leave his home at 9am on Wednesday morning, making its way to St Patrick’s Cathedral for 10am Mass.

He will be laid to rest afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery.

To his wife, Sharon, boys Ben and Ryan, brothers Paul, Franko, Brian and Michael, sister Ann, and the entire family circle, we offer our sincere condolences at this time. May he Rest In Peace.
