Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious collision on the road between Killylea and Caledon.
It is understood it happened close to the turn-off for Tynan on the Killylea Road.
The road was closed at the junction with Manooney Road and at the junction with Kennedies Road.
Police were advising motorists to avoid the road.
One motorist said they had been diverted by the PSNI along the Elm Park Road as the main road had been closed.
He reported seeing two fire appliances, as well as two ambulances en route to the scene.
Shortly before 5pm police confirmed the road had re-opened.
