A young Co Armagh boy is currently pushing himself to the limit with a tasking daily challenge aimed at helping other young people in need.

Luca Donnelly, from Tullysaran, has longed to help children less fortunate than himself.

For the reason, the kind-hearted youngster decided to set himself a challenge over the course of two weeks.

Starting on Sunday past, March 7, Luca has been completing three kilometres every each.

Walking, running, hiking or cycling, it’s all the same – the energetic 11-year-old is pushing himself to fulfil his task and is hoping for public donations.

Mum Helen is so proud of her son’s thoughtfulness and kindness towards others.

She said: “All money raised will go towards spreading some Easter cheer to those children who will be spending Easter in The Blossom Children and Young People’s Centre at Craigavon Area Hospital’.

“Having spoken to the centre, Luca has decided to purchase individual craft sets for each child.

“He would be egg-tremely grateful for any donation that you can give to this egg-cellent cause – and also any words of encouragement whilst he completes his eggs-ercise!”

There is still plenty of time to show your support for Luca’s wonderful efforts, which he is due to complete on Saturday, March 20.
