Official opening of Tannaghmore Gardens play park in Craigavon

It’s the news parents will have been waiting for.

Play parks are set to reopen across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough next month.

More than 90 facilities will be re-opened from July 10. It means parents struggling to keep children entertained will soon have an alternative option.

The decision was taken at a behind-closed-doors meeting of the ABC Council on Tuesday night.

There are numerous play parks across the borough and it may take time to get them all up and running again.

And in keeping with Government guidance, residents are being urged to exercise patience as play areas undergo an extensive deep clean over the next few weeks.

The re-opening of play parks falls in line with the Northern Ireland Executive’s guidance and will be kept under review.
