A local woman is helping to raise money for a number of different charities with a Christmas Box day in Armagh on Saturday, December 18.
Niamh Withers usually organises fundraisers for Special Olympics Ireland but with the games put on hold due to Covid-19 she hasn’t been able to do that, so has opted for something different.
The fundraising event will be held in Dobbin Street Community Centre from 10am-3pm.
Each charity will have a table selling an array of goods, from jewellery, chocolate and crafts to plants, calendars and candles.
Money generated at each table goes to that particular charity.
Those taking part to date include Diabetes UK, Incredable, Mary’s Meals, Inspire, Head Injury Support, the Down Syndrome Centre and Paws and People.
There will also be free hearing aid tests carried out on the day by the Royal National Institute for Deaf People.
Cancer Focus is also holding a coffee morning and anyone who is available to bake or donate items should contact Niamh on 07884396247.
