Willie Nugent Christmas 2020

A Christmas book by Armagh’s champion fundraiser Willie Nugent has raised a fantastic £3,300.

As a result of the sell-out success of Santa Invited Maisie to the North Pole, three local charities will benefit.

Friends of the Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and Guide Dogs for the Blind will each receive £1,100.

Willie would like to thank everyone who bought his book, which solds out days before Christmas, as well as the schools and playgroups who sent letters saying how much the children enjoyed it.

He would also like to thank all who sold the book, including Pet World; Dessie’s; Armagh Blooms; TG Hawthornes; Macaris; Trimprints shop; Curran’s Spar shop; Raffles; The Flower shop, O’Kane’s; Gazette shop and his sponsor ‘Nugent and Gibney Ltd’, for covering all the costs.

Said Willie: “Without each and every one of them it would not have been such a big success.

“Here’s hoping we can all get together next Christmas and do it all again with book number three!”
