Car stolen in Armagh as CCTV captures men creeping around homes nearby

A car was stolen by thieves in Armagh late on Thursday night as CCTV captured men acting suspiciously nearby.

Police in Armagh are appealing for information in relation to a report of the theft of a car from a property at Windmill Avenue in the city.

It’s believed that the vehicle, a silver Toyota Rav 4, was taken sometime between 10.10pm on Thursday, November 24, and 12.30am on Friday, November 25.

It was last seen on the Monaghan Road, heading in the direction of Middletown.

A police spokesperson said: “Our enquiries into this incident are continuing, and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at this time, or who may have any information which may assist, to get in touch.

“The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 550 of 25/11/22.”

Elsewhere, CCTV footage from a resident in the Drumarg area of Armagh captured men creeping about cars and checking front doors on Thursday evening and into the night.
