The award-winning coffee and restaurant chain has confirmed to Armagh I that it intends to launch a new outlet here.
The city is currently top of the home-grown enterprise’s agenda as it continues with expansion plans.
Head office has said that the search is currently on for suitable premises within the city centre.
And sources have indicated to Armagh I that progress on this front is at an advanced stage.
It is understood various units have already been looked at by the Bob & Berts team, who are keen to closely follow the launch of its Portadown operation with one in the neighbouring city of Armagh.
News on this front, we understand, is expected shortly.
Bob & Berts managing director Colin McClean has admitted they will be bringing the famous name to our city, a move which would create a number of jobs, as soon as premises are secured.
He told Armagh I : “We are looking for a site in Armagh City. We have not found a suitable site but we remain focused on finding that site as soon as possible.”

The franchise – famed for its artisan coffee – has been a phenomenal success story.
In addition to coffee, it is well-known for its range of burgers and hotdogs, sandwiches, paninis, wraps and breakfasts
The company prides itself on selecting local producers and supporting local business.
Its most recent acquisition opened at Market Square in Dungannon.
It now has outlets on the Promenade at Portstewart, as well as Portrush, Coleraine, Ballymoney, Ballymena, Omagh, Lisburn, Newtownards, Stranmillis, Limavady, Bangor, Portadown and Lisburn Road in Belfast and Belfast City Centre.
