Bald move for a big cause: Two St Patrick’s Fold residents fundraise for defibrillator

Two brave residents of St Patrick’s Fold in Armagh have taken on a sponsored head shave to raise money for a community defibrillator.

The defibrillator will be installed on the outside of the building, benefiting not just the Fold residents but also the surrounding area if it is ever needed.

Residents Michael Cox and Anthony (Tony) Grover took part in the shave, and so far have raised a whopping £1,114.00!

With money still to come in, the Fold are aiming to raise in the region of £2500 which will include training to use the defibrillator .

Naomi Mc Cooey from Dappers Barbers in Armagh kindly came down to complete the shave with refreshments also available for spectators which was provided by Fold Coordinator Maria Trainer.

On May 11, they will also be holding a table top sale with a raffle including some excellent prizes with all money raised going straight into the defibrillator pot!
