A special Advent celebration is to be held in Armagh – organised in conjunction with both of the city’s Cathedrals.
It is due to take place in the Market Place Theatre in Armagh on Tuesday, November 29.
The evening – which marks the start of the countdown to Christmas – is organised by the Armagh Cathedrals Parternship.
The ecumenical event will have as its guest speaker Fr Edward O’Donnell, of St Brigid’s Parish in Belfast.
Fr O’Donnell is the first Catholic Priest to be installed as an Ecumenical Canon in St Anne’s Church of Ireland Cathedral in Belfast.
A spokesperson for the Partnership said they were looking forward to his attendance at the Armagh Advent celebration.
He said: “His appointment recognises his personal contribution to ecumenical engagement over many years of ministry and the historic appointment strengthens the commitment to promote reconciliation, peace and unity in Northern Ireland.”
The celebration gets underway at 8pm and it is free to attend, with no tickets required.
