Armagh woman’s city centre ATM warning after account is hacked

An Armagh woman has urged residents who have used a city centre ATM to check their bank accounts for strange activity.

The warning comes after the lady’s account was hacked, with a potential issue of an ATM being cited as a possible cause.

The ATM in question is the only one on Thomas Street, between the Phones Direct and CPS, properties.

The woman posted the caution on social media, saying: “Folks just to make you aware that if you used the ATM machine on Thomas Street, Armagh to check your bank accounts.

“I’m only off the phone with the fraud team as my account was hacked and all money taken, as well as various unauthorised recurring VDP payments.

“The only thing they can pinpoint is that ATM.”
