Armagh site with permission for 19 homes goes to market

A substantial plot of land in Armagh city with full planning permission for the construction of 19 homes has gone on the market.

The 1.8 acre site off Umgola Road has been listed with Peter Cullen & Son with price available on application.

Peter Cullen & Son describe the portion of land as presenting a “rare chance” to acquire a prime development site in a “well-connected and amenity-rich location”.

Full planning permission was granted by Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council back in November 2022 for the construction of the 19 homes which are comprised of a “thoughtfully designed” mix of five detached and 14 semi-detached properties.

Within the development all of the semi-detached houses are outlined three storey homes. The detached homes would be a mix of two storey and three storey.

All buildings would be finished primarily in natural stone to the front with stone and smooth render walls to the back and side and all would face onto Umgola Road with gardens to the rear.

The accompanying Design & Access Statement provided with plans explains that “ideas” for the development were derived from local character within the Armagh area while “reflecting” some of the styles of existing housing in the immediate area.

Peter Cullen & Sons adds that the site comes with “excellent access to schools, shops, transport links, and leisure facilities, the area is ideally positioned to support a vibrant new residential community”.
