Armagh collision: Woman in her 50s critically ill as police issue appeal for witnesses

A woman in her 50s is fighting for her life in hospital following a road traffic collision in Armagh this morning (Thursday).

It is understood the woman was out running when the incident occurred at 6.45am.

Police have appealed for witness with information or dash-cam footage to come forward.

Sergeant Gibson said: “We received a report at around 6.45am of a road traffic collision in the vicinity of the Monaghan Road.

“Officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. A woman in her 50s was subsequently taken to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

“The Monaghan Road, which was closed in both directions at the junction with Umgola Heights, has now reopened.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone with any information, including CCTV, dash-cam or other footage, to contact us on the 101 number, quoting reference 137 of 27/11/25.
