Armagh City Hotel to go to market at £9 million as directors to retire

CBRE Hotels have been appointed to sell the property, which will be listed for sale at the end of July

The iconic Armagh City Hotel is to go to market in the coming weeks with a guide price of £9 million.

Armagh City Hotel opened in 2002; the year Armagh won the All-Ireland Football competition.  It was developed by Kieran McAnallen, Brian McCormack, Emie Fisher and Felix Mooney who have since continued to invest in the hotel.

However, after 22 years the directors have decided to retire and put the hotel up for sale as a going concern.

CBRE Hotels have been appointed to sell the property, which will be listed for sale at the end of July.

The hotel has 103 bedrooms and nine suites and is one of the largest hotel conference centres outside of Belfast; holding 1,200 people in theatre style format or 700 people for a Gala Dinner. It also offers a Health and Fitness Club with a fully-fitted gym and a 16-metre pool.

The hotel also offers an extensive car park with 365 spaces and numerous food and beverage options with five separate outlets.

“The team who run the hotel is led by Henk Compier, the General Manager, they will continue to give great service to the hotel patrons and visitors alike and will be a valuable asset the new owners.

“All bookings already made will not be affected by this sale.

“Lastly the hotel would like to thank all those people who have supported it since its 2002 opening and its staff who have worked tirelessly to make it the success it is.”
