Armagh City Football Club has confirmed that manager Shea Campbell and his first-team coaching staff have left the club by mutual agreement, ending a five-and-a-half-year spell at Holm Park.
Campbell, appointed in May 2019, leaves having overseen a period of significant development, including promotion to the NIFL Championship and lifting the Bob Radcliffe Cup in the 2020/21 season.
The club said the decision had been “incredibly difficult for everyone involved”.
In a statement issued on Sunday evening, Armagh City paid warm tribute to Campbell and his staff, acknowledging the dedication and progress made during his tenure.
“Shea and his staff have given so much of themselves to this club — leading the team to promotion and guiding us proudly into the NIFL Championship. Their commitment, passion, and hard work have played a major part in the progress we’ve made.”
The club added that Campbell had shown “professionalism and integrity throughout this process” and leaves with “the utmost respect of the committee, players, and supporters”.
Campbell’s departure comes at a challenging time for Armagh City, who sit bottom of the NIFL Championship after a 2–0 defeat to Annagh United on Saturday — their 11th league loss of the season.
The club will now operate under an interim structure while plans are put in place for the next managerial appointment.
“Our focus is on ensuring continuity and supporting the players and staff through this transition,” the statement said.
Supporters were also urged to join the club in thanking the outgoing management team and in wishing them success in the future, with the statement adding that Campbell and his staff “will always be welcome at Holm Park”.
The club says further updates will be provided in due course.
