Hundreds of dancers will take to the floor in the third annual Armagh City Irish Dancing Championships next weekend.
The event – hosted by the Lorraine Scallon School of Irish Dance – will see young competitors from all over Ireland in attendance at the Armagh City Hotel.
The two-day extravaganza will take place next Saturday and Sunday (June 2-3), with the first dances starting at 8.30am, to run through the day.
The Saturday will see the more advanced dancers take part in the Championship element of the weekend – including a number of world champions – with six adjudicators; one of which will be making the trip over from Australia, as will a musician.
The Sunday will showcase the younger, beginner’s grade.
Over the two days, thousands of people are expected to come through the hotel doors, with dancers from across the UK already registered.
There will also be two charity dances, which will include some of the best Irish dancers around, with proceeds from those fundraisers going towards the Southern Area Hospice.
