Appeal over ‘broad daylight’ burglary in Armagh housing estate

Police in Armagh are appealing for information following a burglary at a city housing estate yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

The incident, in which cash was stolen, comes just a week after three other homes were burgled in Counties Armagh and Down.

Yesterday’s burglary happened sometime between 9.45am and 2.45pm at Drumann Park.

Constable Trudy Davies has asked anyone who can help to come forward.

She said: “This happened in broad daylight and we would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity in the area during this time or anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. You can contact us in Armagh on 101, quoting ref: 666 140415.”

Meanwhile, detectives in Craigavon and Banbridge are also appealing for information following a number of burglaries last Tuesday, April 7.

Detective Constable Kacey Dickson said: “Three burglaries occurred in Acre Lane, Waringstown, Woodlands in Gilford and Gosselin Drive in Lurgan. Entry was forced to all three homes and the houses searched.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 1001 07/04/15.”
