22-year-old arrested after cars broken into and damaged in Armagh

Police in Armagh, investigating a series of cars being damaged and entered, have arrested a 22 year old man.

On 14 March, police received reports of 10 vehicles being damaged in Armagh  between 10pm on 13 March and 8.30am on 14 March. A number of these vehicles were entered and items taken.

Police on patrol arrested a 22 year old man in the Newry Road area on Monday, 19 May. He was also arrested in relation to criminal damage at bookmaker premises on Ogle Street on 19 April, 2014.

The man has been charged in relation to the offence of criminal damage and will appear before Armagh Magistrates’ Court on 10 June.

In relation to the cars being entered and damaged, the man has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
