18-year-old suffers lacerations to his face in vicious assault

An 18-year-old suffered lacerations to his face in a vicious county Armagh attack.

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following the assault in Flush Place.

Around 1.30am on Sunday, 7 June, the victim was approached by two other males at a bus stop on Flush Place and assaulted.

He sustained an injury to his arm and lacerations to his face.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Prior to the assault the 18-year-old male was in the company of another male, believed to be from the Ballynahinch area.

Constable Michael Allen said: “We are keen to speak to this man as we believe he may have witnessed the assault. We would also like to speak to anyone who has information in relation to this incident.

“We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 236 070615.”
