The family of the late Rita Sherlock, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with us, on the recent loss of our much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and cousin.
To everyone who attended the repose and funeral, or joined us by web cam, brought Mass cards, sent messages and called to the house, we are deeply grateful.
Very special thanks to Rev Canon Sean O’Neill PP who visited Rita both at home and during her stay in Dunlarg and for celebrating her beautiful, personal, Requiem Mass and to Fr. Aidan McCann for offering prayers at her graveside.
Thanks also to Catherine Grimley Hughes for her moving singing, which greatly enhanced the Mass.
We would like to express deeply our appreciation to Bridget Mone, of Mone Funeral Directors, Keady, for her kindness, support and empathy and for the compassionate, dignified and personal service she provided.
Thank you to Mary B Mone and team, who provided the post burial refreshments and to the Parish for the use of the Hall.
We thank also the sacristan team at St. Patrick’s Church, Keady and the gravedigger who prepared Rita’s final resting place.
We thank especially all who cared for Rita in her later years – to Dr. Watters and the staff at The Health Centre, Enable Care Services, McKeevers Pharmacy, Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry and the NI Ambulance Service.
Finally, we particularly wish to express our gratitude, to the staff of Dunlarg Care Home, Keady, for looking after Rita, with such compassion, in her last months.
At the risk of failing to mention someone, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all, as a sincere token of our appreciation.
Rita’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday Is November 2025 at 6.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Keady.
