Acknowledgement for the late Tommy Reidy (Whitecross)

Reidy, Tommy.

The family of the late Tommy Reidy have requested this acknowledgement is posted in gratitude and appreciation.

Maria, Conor and Ciara wish to thank all those who sympathised with them on the sad passing of a much loved husband and father. To all those who attended the wake and funeral, telephoned, messaged or posted online their condolences we assure you these were greatly appreciated.

We thank also the many individuals who brought gifts of food and floral arrangements. To the ladies who made and served the tea throughout the busy days of the wake and to the men who done outdoor chores in preparation for the wake and the erection of the marquee.

Words are inadequate to convey our deepest gratitude to many of Tommy’s friends and indeed our own family who visited him during his illness and supported us as a family.

We thank also the Doctors and Nurses and care staff who cared for Tommy throughout his short illness and in particular the pharmacy team in Markethill.

Many thanks to Fr Murphy for his pastoral care and for celebrating a very personal and fitting funeral mass and to St Teresa’s Church Choir whose music greatly enhanced the funeral mass.

It would be negligent of us to omit to mention the wonderful guards of honour provided by St Paul’s School Bessbrook, Whitecross GFC and Rockview Soccer Club it was so touching.

Finally we thank the gravedigger for preparing the grave in such a meticulous way and to Mone Funeral Directors for the complete, dignified and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements. And lastly to Whitecross Hall for the kind use of the hall to serve the post burial refreshments.

Tommy’s month mind mass will be celebrated in St Teresa’s Church Tullyheron on Sunday January 19, at 11:30.
