Acknowledgement for the late Thomas McAliskey (Dungannon)

Death Notice Armagh I

McAliskey Thomas. We, the family of the late Thomas James McAliskey, wish to record our sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to all those who provided assistance and messages of sympathy to us during our recent sad bereavement. We wish to thank our family circle, friends and neighbours who provided support before, during and after the funeral.

We are grateful to the many medical professionals who attended to Thomas, including the acute care team, the Coalisland district nursing team and domiciliary carers; also to the doctors and staff of Campbell’s surgery and the staff of Donaghy’s pharmacy.

We are also indebted to Canon Benny Fee, Clonoe, for home visits, prayers and spiritual guidance; to Father John Flanagan, Monaghan, for concelebrating requiem mass so reverently with Father John McCallion, to whom we are also very thankful.

We cherish also the spiritual aid provided by Father Pat Breslin, Galbally. Thanks to all who participated in the funeral including Margaret the Sacristan, Readers, soloist Anita Ross and the talented musicians for the beautiful and uplifting music in church.

We pay tribute to Patsy Taggart’s Funeral Directors for their dignified conduct of the funeral arrangements and to the gravedigger for preparing Thomas’s final resting place.

Our gratitude is also owed to Kitchen Catering and the staff at the Washing Bay Centre who prepared and catered for the post-funeral meal.

Finally, we thank everyone who visited the home, attended the funeral, watched via webcam, and to those family and friends who travelled a great distance to pay their respects.

Also thanks to all who sent letters, mass and sympathy cards or other tributes, telephoned or brought food, gifts and floral tributes. As we cannot thank each person individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Thomas’s Month’s Mind will be celebrated at St Patrick’s Church Clonoe, on Thursday September 15, at 7.30pm.
