Acknowledgement for the late Samuel Gardiner (Lurgan)

Samuel Gardiner former UUP MLA

Gardiner, Samuel.

We, Keith and Sarah Gardiner and family, would like to say a sincere thank you to all who have sympathised with us during our recent bereavement and loss of the late Samuel Gardiner.

Sincere thanks to everyone who called to our home and to Malcomson’s funeral home to meet with us, thank you to all who brought or sent food, telephoned, sent messages, cards, wrote letters, gave flowers, attended the funeral service or gave donations in lieu of flowers.

We have genuinely been overwhelmed and touched with the number of messages and tributes that have been paid from individuals, groups, clubs and also from across the political community as well as the hundreds of comments posted on social media as a testament to Samuel’s character. These have been a source of great comfort to us through this difficult time.

Sincere thanks to all the staff at Willowgrove Care Home and also to Seapatrick Nursing home for their care and attention to Samuel while he resided in their care. We were also very grateful to the dedicated and caring staff at both Lurgan hospital ward 1 and Craigavon Hospital A & E department and 2 South Stroke ward for all they did.

Many thanks to Rev. Harvey for his pastoral support and conducting the funeral service, to Holy Trinity Church for the use of their building due to being unable to hold at Shankhill Parish, to the organist, grave digger and Brownlow House who provided catering following the funeral service.

Finally sincere thanks to Malcomson’s Funeral Directors for their genuine warmth, compassion, support and guidance and for the dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

Special thanks to Charlie for all his assistance and support and to Elizabeth for the beautiful flowers that were exactly how my dad ‘Sammy’ would have liked.

As it is impossible for us to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our family’s deep appreciation.

Contact us via email marketing@armaghi.com and our dedicated team can help you choose a fitting tribute.
