The wife, daughters and son of the late Raymond ‘Boots’ Callaghan wish to express our sincere thanks to family, friends and neighbours who supported us throughout Boots’ long illness, and who sympathised with us during our devastating loss by attending the wake and funeral, visiting with us over the festive season, and sending cards.
We especially thank our closest friends who prepared the house for Boots coming home and came from all over Ireland to help out and lend support during the whole week.
Special thanks to Fr O’Neill for conducting the Celebration of Boots’ life perfectly. We are indebted to you for such a beautiful homily.
Thanks must also go to all the staff at Willowbank Surgery, respiratory consultant, Dr Convery, who advocated for Boots until the final hour, his multidisciplinary team which was headed up by Cathy Kelly, the community respiratory and nursing teams, staff in Daisy Hill HDU and Craigavon 2 North, and McKeevers pharmacy, Keady, for their care and support throughout the past 5 years.
Thankyou to Dermot and Catherine for the beautiful music, Clea PS, Darkley PS, Keady GAA and the Parochial Hall for the loan of chairs and catering equipment during the wake.
Keady Michael Dwyers Ladies, St Mary’s University College and Port Mor camogie club, who gave Boots a guard of honour all the way to the chapel.
St Patrick’s Camogie Club (Keady), Keady Celtic FC and Shauna Corrigan (McGrane’s) who all provided breakfast and dinner for the entire family during the 3 day wake, as well as the many, many local businesses and neighbours who provided food throughout.
Last, but most certainly not least, Bridget Mone of Mone’s Funeral Directors, who has provided the utmost support, both professionally and personally, for our entire family throughout this whole month. We can never thank you enough.
As we are unable to thank everyone, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. We can never repay your kindness.
Raymond’s month mind mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church Keady on Monday January 20, at 7pm.
